The Meadow Brown is one of the most widespread and common butterflies and is found almost anywhere where there is tall grassland.
Where to look
Other than the mountainous centre of the county, the Meadow Brown can be found almost anywhere where grasses are present including, for example gardens, hedgerows and roadsides.
